TESTIMONIALS
The Intermountain Burn Center will receive patients who have been treated with Burnfree.
I wanted to clarify the status of Burnfree investigation at the University of Utah as well as some comments we have recently received regarding the product.
We have looked into a number of properties of Burnfree over the past two years in non-clinical models, with both full-thickenss and partial-thickness wounds. The results do cast Burnfree in a favorable light and we anticipate clinical investigation over the next year or so. Burnfree is FDA approved and has been used as a first-aid agent on a number of patients we have seen in the emergency room and burn clinic at the Intermountain Burn Center. Patients appear to be satisfied with this product when I have questioned them concerning its effect. In fact, a number have made very favorable comments.
This is simply a casual observation and I hope that we can make more objective conclusions about Burnfree after the completion of a clinical study.

Excerpts from some letters sent by satisfied Burnfree users:
. . . we had three employees get burned with sulfuric acid and I was able to use your product. I am very pleased to tell you that it kept the burns from becoming third degree, and most of the second degree disappeared. . . The emergency room physician could not believe how the one employee's legs looked when I told him of the sulfuric acid and then the use of Burn Free . . .I work in a chemical company here in Cincinnati, Ohio and we are really very safety conscious but accidents do happen. The one employee will be off for six weeks only because the bad burns are on his thighs and when he walks it really irritates, but the rest of his legs are doing just fine.

We had an associate be burned with hot water, and the associate cooled the burn with ice in a rag first. I applied the Burnfree for 20 minutes After application the redness decreased to a pink in color. There were no blisters apparent. The associate also commented, It stopped the burning. It felt cool. . . .What I like most about Burnfree is that any person can apply it to a burn quickly without having to be concerned if it is the right product. They need not have any medical background to understand its use.

I utilized the Burnfree 4 x 4 dressings. The company I am the on-site health manager for, utilizes the forging and heat treating processes. With these processes come frequent thermal burns. The cases I used the dressings on were both thermal. The first case involved slag from a furnace. The splotchy burn was reduced from 2nd degree to barely 1st degree. The employee was amazed at the results. She stated it was much better at soothing the pain than our other burn reduction methods. She also stated it felt like I was using ice on the burn. In the other situation the burn was from directly touching hot steel. The burn was beginning to blister by the time he got to first aid care. The gentleman expressed immediate relief upon application of the burn pack. Upon the next day follow up, the burn appeared to have stopped where I saw it and even reduced in some areas. There was NO blistering. The employee kept talking about my new ice stuff. I am satisfied that this is an effective product in reducing and relieving the pain of burns.

One of our associates reported to my office with a chemical burn from the product 2001 cleaner. It had burned through her clothing and caused an irritation approximately 10cm on her right leg. After diluting the area with water, I placed one of the 4 x 4 Burnfree dressings on the area and sent her to the local emergency room. The employee stated she felt immediate relief from pain upon application of Burnfree, and the result of the accident was only a minor irritation of the skin. I believe your product was greatly responsible for lessening the severity of this accident.

My place of employment is a large office complex where fortunately, we do not have many burn problems. However, I did try Burnfree Pain Relieving Gel on an employee who spent too long in the sun and received a first degree sunburn. The gel was cooling and soothing to the area and the individual was grateful for the discomfort relief. I will try the product again the next time someone comes in with a burn from a coffee spill. This should be a good product to keep in First Aid kits and home medicine cabinets.

I applied a Burnfree 4 x 4 dressing to a severe first degree hand burn received from boiling water from a coffee pot. Not only was the employee relieved from the burn discomfort, but also requested the dressing remain on for several hours after because it was providing such good cooling relief. I wrapped the dressing with dry gauze so it would not interfere with working the remainder of the day. The employee opted to keep the dressing on for a total of 5-6 hours. After examination of the area the next morning, there was little if any redness and I feel that Burnfree played a major role in preventing any blistering that may have occurred without its use.

My fiance and I are both registered nurses. She recently suffered a nasty sunburn on one of our numerous outdoor adventures. When we returned home, she was feeling poorly and her burn was quite painful. I applied a small amount of Burnfree Pain Relieving Gel to the burn and it immediately relieved the pain. She was able to then sleep through what could have been a long, restless night. We were hesitant to apply the gel to her skin because she exhibits unusually strong responses if she is allergic to a substance. However, the Burnfree gel did nothing but cool and soothe her skin. I now carry Burnfree Pain Relieving Gel and a Burnfree sterile burn dressing in my backcountry first aid kit. We often travel to places where medical help is many hours or several days away. Although we always attempt to travel safely, accidents still can happen. Thank you for making a product that is light, simple to use, and does what it says it will.

Since Burnfree has become available to me, I have used it numerous times for various types of burns. However, something happened recently that I consider to be remarkable and worthy of your notice. One day I was in the kitchen boiling some water. As it was boiling, I accidentally poured some on my hand. My first instinct was to reach for the cold water, but then I remembered the Burnfree. Knowing this was a bad burn, I quickly covered the area with a generous amount of Burnfree and let it sit for about 20 minutes. The first thing I noticed was the immediate relief of pain. Later that evening as I was telling my husband about my burn, I realized that I hadn't given it another thought once I wiped off the Burnfree. That night there was not a sign left of the burn. There were no blisters, no redness, no residual pain. I have been pleased with Burnfree in the past, but the results of this incident were truly remarkable.
